Collection
The decision to create a collection of 20th-century Polish art was made together with Ryszard Stanisławski, longtime director of the Museum of Art in Łódź. Together, we compiled a list of artists key to that period, with the conviction that the Foundation’s collection should carry museum-level value and meaning for future generations.
Art inspires, stimulates, and encourages thought. That’s why our collection isn’t locked away in storage — instead, it fills offices, universities, and public spaces.
We’re especially proud that our students and pupils are surrounded by great works of art every day. It’s deeply rewarding to hear that encountering these pieces has sparked their curiosity and encouraged deeper exploration.
Our collection is alive — not only within our institutions but also as part of temporary exhibitions. Through the Poznań City of Art initiative, we collaborate with the Wielkopolska Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, chaired by Piotr Voelkel. We also care for the Society’s collection, ensuring it is properly displayed and promoted.
