Aula Artis, December 1, 2021
The story of a writer who, after years spent in the world of ideas, suddenly has to confront the prose of everyday life. When she realizes that her husband cannot afford her burial, a bitter, ironic, and deeply human tale of loneliness and helplessness begins.
On December 1, 2021, Aula Artis in Poznań hosted a performance directed by Krystyna Janda, based on the play by Jarosław Mikołajewski. The main character, a writer, faces not only the lack of means for a dignified farewell but also bureaucratic indifference, the incomprehension of loved ones, and her own fear of vanishing. In the role of the poet appeared Janda herself, joined on stage by Olgierd Łukaszewicz and Emilia Krakowska.
The play moved between irony and emotion, between the tragedy of the situation and the absurdity of bureaucratic routine. It was a theatre, both subversive and delicate, where laughter and sorrow intertwined with the fragility of life, the value of creativity, and the simple human need to be seen.
