Festival of Design and Creativity for Children
Hands-on activities, an exhibition at the ZAMEK Culture Center in Poznań, design workshops, an educational playroom for the youngest, performances by the Blum Theatre Studio, and a fair of well-designed objects — all this took place during the 2019 Festival of Design and Creativity for Children.
The event unfolded across two venues: Poznań’s Concordia Design and the ZAMEK Culture Center, the latter serving as a festival partner. At ZAMEK, a special children’s edition of the Sophie Taeuber-Arp exhibition was presented, along with workshops dedicated to older children.
At Concordia Design, children could enjoy a rich program of attractions, including hands-on activities working with wood, fabric, cardboard, clay, and ceramics — creating works inspired by Sophie Taeuber-Arp. The program also featured design workshops, performances by the Blum Theatre Studio, and a lecture for parents by psychologist Magdalena Sękowska on nurturing creativity in children. The festival concluded with a fair of thoughtfully designed children’s items, offering parents the chance to purchase meaningful, creative, and practical gifts for the youngest.
