A series of conversations led by Jacek Żakowski with outstanding figures of Polish social and cultural life

What Do We Live For?

Aula Artis, 2009-2011

This age-old question remains relevant and worth asking today. The aim of the What Do We Live For? series, organized by the Higher School of Humanities and Journalism in Poznań, was to spark a creative discussion about conscious and meaningful living and to encourage participants to discover their own potential.

The meetings brought together philosophers, psychologists, therapists, thinkers, ethicists, and scholars of religion representing a wide range of worldviews and approaches to the central question. Their diverse perspectives and reflections highlighted that there is no single answer — and that conversation itself can be a path to greater awareness.

The cycle, curated and moderated by Jacek Żakowski, featured outstanding figures from Polish social and cultural life, including:
– Jerzy Stuhr – actor and director (07.01.2009)
– Tadeusz Gadacz – philosopher and scholar of religion (18.06.2009)
– Jerzy Owsiak – founder of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and Woodstock Festival (25.11.2009)
– Kazimiera Szczuka – literary historian and social activist (10.03.2010)
– Wojciech Eichelberger – psychotherapist and author (14.04.2010)
– Krystyna Janda – actress, director, founder of Teatr Polonia (13.05.2010)
