Trochę teatru – Janusz Gajos
Everyone knows Janusz Gajos as an actor, but not everyone realizes he is also an accomplished photographer. The exhibition at Art Haven presented a collection of his photographs of fellow actors close to him. The series included images captured during rehearsals, intermissions, and performances, offering a unique glimpse into the life of theatre behind the scenes.
Janusz Gajos, one of the greatest actors in Polish cinema and theatre, is also admired for his cabaret talent. For over three decades, he has been a constant presence on stage and screen, leaving a permanent mark on the history of Polish culture.
A laureate of numerous prestigious awards, he has won six Orły (Polish Film Awards) as well as honours at the Gdynia Film Festival. At the festival’s 40th edition, he was recognized with the Diamond Lions as the best actor of the past four decades. He is equally beloved by audiences, having received five Wiktor statuettes and one Super Wiktor.
Since 2003, he has been a member of the ensemble at the National Theatre in Warsaw. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Łódź Film School (PWSFTiT).
