Greater Poland Women’s Congress

Aula Artis, November 14, 2013

On November 14, 2013, Poznań hosted the Greater Poland edition of the nationwide Women’s Congress, whose previous five editions had been held in Warsaw. For one day, the city became a space for women from diverse backgrounds to exchange experiences and reflect on work, life, challenges, and the strength of community.

The event brought together women active in politics, media, the social sector, and local communities, creating a platform for discussion on both the professional and private situations of women in Poland. Particular attention was drawn to the panel on Women of the Greater Poland Countryside, which amplified the voices of women living outside major urban centres and addressed their challenges, potential, and needs.

The organizers ensured accessibility: participation was free of charge, and childcare was provided for all attendees. The Poznań Congress proved to be an important gesture toward increasing the visibility of women from different backgrounds, generations, and professions. It was a space for listening, sharing experiences, and building social solidarity.
