POZnaj Festival of Polish Wine and Craft – Flavor, Passion, and Good Conversations at Concordia Taste
Within just two years, the POZnaj Festival of Polish Wine and Craft has become one of the most anticipated culinary events in Poznań. Organized by the Concordia Taste restaurant, the festival combines the celebration of Polish wine with the unique atmosphere of conversation, shared dining, and encounters with flavour enthusiasts from all over the country.
2024 Edition – with Robert Makłowicz as Host
The first edition of the festival, held in mid-May 2024, drew huge crowds. Its star guest was Robert Makłowicz, who not only co-hosted the grand opening dinner but also led a “Speed Tasting” and appeared in a special episode on his YouTube channel accompanying the event.
The festival opened with a spectacular Feast of 15 dishes and 15 wines, hosted by Makłowicz alongside Jacek Kulza, Head Sommelier at Concordia Taste. The menu, created by chef Adam Adamczak, impressed with its simplicity and quality. The evening was not only a culinary journey but also an opportunity to support a good cause – a charity auction was held for Ewa and Piotr Michalski, raising an impressive 30,000 PLN.
The second day of the festival embraced a more relaxed, market-like atmosphere. Guests met winemakers from across Poland, enjoyed Adam Adamczak’s creative take on street food, listened to live music, and watched street performances. Local exhibitors, artisans, and media outlets also joined the event. The highlight of the day was a concert by Maria Sadowska, rounding off a weekend filled with openness, community, and passion for Polish flavors.
Edition 2025 – More Flavor, a New Dimension of Craft
The second edition of the POZnaj Festival of Polish Wine and Craft (the name combines Poznań and the Polish word poznaj, meaning “get to know” / “discover”) took place on May 31 and June 1, 2025, expanding its format to include Polish craft in collaboration with the Targi Rozmaitości (Variety Fair). This new addition made the event not only a culinary feast but also a celebration of creativity and local design.
The festival opened with the evening dinner POZNAJ – A History of Polish Cuisine, during which renowned chefs from Poznań presented their original interpretations of traditional Polish dishes. Each of the five courses offered a nostalgic, emotional journey through decades of Polish flavors – paired with carefully selected wines. The pairings were curated by distinguished winemakers in cooperation with Jacek Kulza.
The second day of the festival took the form of a lively fair. In addition to Polish wine and craft stalls, the organizers prepared “Speed Tastings” – five themed sessions with winemakers and chefs showcasing different facets of flavor: from fine dining to street food to culinary fusions. On the Expert Stage, bloggers, restaurateurs, and creators engaged in conversations that combined humor with serious questions.
The program also included the POZNAJ Corkscrews 2025 competition, in which a jury selected the best Polish wines, alongside a public vote for the festival’s favorite wine. The youngest participants had their own safe zone filled with creative workshops and games. The day concluded with a joyful afterparty hosted by Natalia Kmieciak – author of the blog SMAKIWARTEPOZNANIA (“Flavors Worth Poznań-ing”) – who blended the worlds of food, travel, and music into one unforgettable evening.
POZNAJ – More Than a Festival
In just two editions, the POZnaj Festival has become an important fixture on Poland’s culinary map – not only as a space for tasting exceptional wines and dishes, but above all as a meeting place for people with passion. It is an event where the shared celebration of flavor transforms into deeper conversations about identity, locality, and quality.
The name “POZnaj” combines Poznań and the Polish word “poznaj,” meaning “get to know” or “discover.”
